Lent Groups
We have some special Lent groups. Do come to these if you can.
Lent Bible Studies - Portraits Of Jesus
(Echoes of the life of Christ through the Bible)
Lent is a time
of journeying with Jesus as He is heading to Jerusalem and the Cross. It is also
a time of hope, a time of new life and the promise of resurrection.
The focus of
this series of Lent studies is that of the lives of six biblical characters,
each of which give us a picture of an aspect of Jesus’ work in our salvation. It
also aims to bring us to realise that what Jesus did during His life on earth
has the most profound results for our lives today.
All are most
welcome. For further details contact Judy 462888.

You
do not need to attend every group and are welcome to attend just one if you want
to try it out. You will be very welcome.
It is very informal
and you can contribute whatever you like to the discussion - but nobody would
want to embarrass you by making you say anything, if you just want to be quiet
and listen instead.
We have friends from Winfrith and
Lulworth churches joining us for some meetings and it's been enjoyable to learn
from one another. Still plenty to go!
Wool Churches Together Lent Lunches
Do come
along and join us for a simple lunch of soup and a roll, and a time of
fellowship.

World Day of Prayer

Holy Trinity West Lulworth at
7.00pm - Speaker Elizabeth McKenzie
On Friday March
3rd over 3 million people worldwide will be taking part in the Day of
Prayer Service prepared by Christian women of South Africa on the theme Sign
of the Times. In every participating country services will be held
throughout the day in many and varied locations. Women, men, children and young
people from different backgrounds will pray and worship together.
Often called the
Rainbow Nation, South Africa is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in
Africa.
South Africans
share a rich and varied culture - warm hospitality, a deep sense of
spirituality, music, a love of sport and the outdoors, and ubuntu- a
particularly African concept focusing on a respect for human dignity.
HIV/AIDS
together with TB and malaria are the major threats to health all of which are
exacerbated by the extreme poverty. Women are particularly at risk; more than
59% of those infected with HIV/AIDS are women. Poverty and HIV/AIDS have taken a
heavy toll on the children, giving rise to a growing number of orphans, many of
whom are also infected with the virus.
Do come along to
join with us and people praying across the world, praising God and bringing the
world’s needs to Him.
