Lent is a wonderful season of opportunity for us all to refocus our minds and re-orientate our busy lives towards our Saviour Jesus.

During the forty days in the wilderness, Jesus was tempted and tested: but above all, He demonstrated a powerful understanding of who He was, and what mattered most to Him. This study series is designed to help us learn more about who Jesus is today, and apply it to our own lives.

These practical studies combine honesty with humour to take us through the forty days of Lent. They will help us to draw near to Jesus again as we look through the eyes of people who approached Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, including the Pharisees, a desperate father, Peter and Judas.

(Although the course was designed to take 6 weeks the groups might take longer if we collectively feel it is better to do so once we get going.)

About Monday Home Group

The Monday Evening Group, led by Judy Hill & Brenda Edwards, is shared between 1, Vicarage Close; and 23 Hillside Road.

Feel free to phone for more details (information from Judy Hill on 462888) or just turn up. (It is better to phone - we do occasionally change the venue if someone is away - but you are equally welcome just turning up on the night.)

The group is very informal and you will be warmly welcomed whatever your faith or belief status and whether you want to say anything or nothing. (Hiding at the back is OK too - most of us are tempted to chip in sooner or later.) Honesty and candour are not only allowed but are very much encouraged! We do just ask everyone to maintain one another's confidentiality within the group.

The Monday evening group meets at 1, Vicarage Close and at 23, Hillside Road.

More information from Judy Hill on 462888

All are very welcome

(There are three Holy Rood home groups, held on Thursday afternoon and on Monday and Wednesday evening.)
