The Church Of The Holy Rood -- Wool, Dorset, U.K.
Flower festival 2016
Many people worked very hard to make this beautiful event possible and the results were magnificent - a quiet and reflective contrast to all the fun outside.
The effect was stunning. The villagers in the parish rose to the challenge and produced beautiful displays reflecting their own areas: sheep, castles and floods all featured along with the children’s own views of life in the parish. This was a true village flower festival, an exuberant display of flowers, and a triumph, especially from those who had little knowledge of flower arranging but were prepared to have a go.
The total of monies raised in the weekend was a tremendous £1304.36 and this will go into the Building Fund for the Reordering of the back of the church: so thank you everyone!
The displays included many contributors from our parish: its individuals, schools, and villages. See if you can see yours. (If you can't, it's probably my fault for not taking the right picture, but rest assured all the displays were really good. I apologise in advance to anyone who was missed out!)

I apologise the pictures have taken a long time to get here. Several other tasks had to take priority. These pictures are a bit too low quality for prints, but if anyone wants a higher quality photo file (as a .jpg file) let me know either at 462742 or the email address below and I'll happily supply you with one.
