New Vicar for Holy Rood

The Bishop of Sherborne, Rt Revd Karen Gorham, Revd Carol Langford, and the Archdeacon of Dorset, Ven. Antony MacRow-Wood.

We welcomed the Revd. Carol Langford to be our new vicar at a licensing service on Shrove Tuesday, 28th February 2017.

It was a big occasion in our small church building, as we welcomed about 130 worshippers to a packed service on the evening of 28th February. Many members of Carol's previous congregation at Lilliput attended, as well as Carol and Mark's family, and representatives of numerous village organisations as well as the members of the local Holy Rood congregation.

Two of Carol's supporting ministry team, Revd Judith Hill (Retired Associate Priest) and Mrs Jenny Hunt (licensed Lay Minister).

(Our other licensed Lay Minister, Mr John Matthews, was acting in one of his other roles - as our church organist - for this occasion.)

Thank you -

Dear Friends

Mark and I would like to thank everyone for your warm welcome to us on our move to Wool and East Stoke. We were very moved by my licensing Service on Tuesday where we were supported by so many people. Thank you so much to everyone who worked so hard in planning and organising the Service and the wonderful refreshments afterwards; we felt very blessed.

With thanks & blessings,

Revd Carol
